Overview
Healthy teeth and gums are important to your overall wellness. To help you maintain your dental health and address any issues, Commvault offers two dental plans — both which cover preventive and diagnostic care at 100% and helps pay for the cost of basic and major restorative treatments. Both plans also provide orthodontia benefits for your children — up to age 26 in the PPO Plan and up to age 19 in the DHMO Plan.

Key features at a glance:
Cigna PPO
- Free in-network preventive and diagnostic care, with no deductible.
- Affordable coverage that helps you manage the cost of dental treatment.
- Select any licensed dentist, but see bigger savings if you use an in-network provider. You can see a specialist without a referral.
Cigna DHMO
- No deductible or annual maximum.
- Must use an in-network primary care dentist who will coordinate all of your care. You can change your network dentist at any time, and children can receive care from a pediatric dentist up to age 13.
- Estimate treatment costs in advance based on your Patient Charge Schedule.
- Services are not covered unless performed by your primary dentist or specialist referred by your primary dentist.
Find a network dentist
You'll generally pay less out-of-pocket when you use an in-network dentist. Visit Cigna.com to search your plan’s network:
Cigna PPO
- At Cigna.com, click “Find an In-Network Doctor, Dentist or Facility.”
- Follow the prompts on screen and when asked to choose your plan, select “DPPO/EPO > Total Cigna DPPO.”
While the PPO offers you the flexibility to see any provider of your choice, you’ll always save money when using an in-network provider.
Cigna DHMO
- At Cigna.com, click “Find an In-Network Doctor, Dentist or Facility.”
- Follow the prompts on screen and when asked to choose your plan, select “CIGNA DENTAL CARE DHMO > Cigna Dental Care Access Plus.”
The DHMO only provides benefits when you use an in-network provider.
Increase your annual maximum
In the Cigna PPO, preventive care pays off with the Cigna Dental WellnessPlusSM feature. When you or your family members receive any preventive care service in one plan year, the annual dollar maximum will increase in the following plan year. When you or your family members remain enrolled in the plan and continue to receive preventive care, the annual dollar maximum will increase in the following plan year, until it reaches the maximum level. Here’s how the annual maximum increases:
- Year 1: Annual Maximum is $1,500 — annual preventive care services received
- Year 2: Annual Maximum increases to $1,600 — annual preventive services continue to be received
- Year 3: Annual Maximum increases to $1,700 — annual preventive services continue to be received
- Year 4 and beyond: Annual Maximum increases to $1,800

Create your account at myCigna.com and choose an in-network provider
Selecting a participating dentist will ensure you receive the highest benefits from your plan. To find a provider, log in to the myCigna website or app and select “Find Care & Costs” to search your plan’s network:
- PPO network: Total Cigna DPPO
- DHMO network: Cigna Dental Care Access Plus

When you enroll in a Commvault dental plan, you’ll have access to these programs:
- Cigna Dental Virtual Care: If you need dental care and are unable to reach your regular provider, you have the option to consult with a licensed dentist through a video call – any time, from anywhere.
- Dental Payment Solutions with Paytient: This program can help you manage unexpected out-of-pocket dental costs by turning any dental expense into a flexible, interest-free payment plan. There are no fees or credit checks required to get started.
- Cigna Oral Health Integration Program (OHIP): For members with qualifying conditions (including pregnancy, heart disease, stroke, and diabetes), OHIP reimburses out-of-pocket costs for certain dental treatments so you can save money on better oral health care.
